About the Role:

BIDDING PHASE:

  • Support the bidding team during the preparation of bids, based on the customer's RfQ and with proposals for optimized solutions.
  • Review technical requirements in the bid.
  • Support sales with preliminary design, including layouts for control cabinets.
  • Contribute to cost estimates for secondary components.
  • Provide input for time estimates.

PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION PHASE:

  • Be responsible for the design of the substation's control system and auxiliary power system.
  • Ensure that the design work is carried out according to schedule, budget, and with the right quality.
  • Plan design activities and report regularly on progress.
  • Participate in technical clarifications with customers and subcontractors.
  • Produce basic design drawings such as single line diagrams, block diagrams, and system overviews.
  • Create detailed drawings such as circuit diagrams.
  • Be responsible for communication solutions (ODF, TPE, OPGW).
  • Prepare manufacturing documentation for control cabinets and junction boxes, including layouts, material lists, connection tables, label lists, etc.
  • Establish cable lists.
  • Verify CT/VT calculations.
  • Dimension control cables and battery systems.
  • Specify auxiliary power systems and other secondary components and assist in procurement.
  • Specify protection relays and assist in procurement.
  • Specify control components and assist in procurement.
  • Contribute input to test protocols.
  • Act as the technical interface with panel manufacturing during the production phase.
  • Perform visual inspection of control cabinets before delivery.
  • Ensure that all relevant drawings are reviewed and approved.
  • Support commissioning engineers during testing and participate if applicable.

Requirements:

  • High school or post-secondary education in electrical engineering or power engineering
  • Experience with CAD programs
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role as an electrical designer or in power engineering
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Experience in high voltage 130–400 Kilovolts
  • Swedish citizenship (as the position is security classified)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Driver's license
  • Previous experience leading juniors
